Summer Grilling Party 170626 071600

There's no denying that summer is here, and we all know that when the weather heats up, so does the grill! If you’re anything like us, grilling is a favorite pastime in your hive, not only because of the opportunity it provides to surround yourself with family and friends to show off your skills at the grill, but also because few things beat the taste of food fresh off the BBQ. Whether your gatherings are large or small, your weekend cookout can still shine with the help of our favorite culinary sidekick – honey!

Did you know that honey provides a multitude of benefits to your favorite grilled foods? It’s true! This simple single-ingredient kitchen staple not only adds the perfect amount of sweetness to your dishes, but it also acts as:

  • a humectant to keep your grilled meats tender by locking in its natural juices;
  • an emulsifier fusing ingredients and flavors in sauces, dips and marinades;
  • a flavor enhancer bringing balance;
  • all while adding a rich amber/mahogany color to your meats.

We know that the thought of working with honey can be a bit daunting, but it’s benefits and the final results make it well worth the effort. Over the years we’ve had the pleasure to work with and learn from a few top-notch grill masters who have shared their best grilling-with-honey tips, tricks and hacks.
